Fatal Churchill County car crash death of Rahul Nogivenname – Obituary
Nevada State Police have identified the victim of a deadly collision that occurred on January 25 along Interstate 80 in Churchill County.
Rahul Nogivenname, a 26-year-old resident of Sacramento, California, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which took place in the westbound lanes near mile marker 85.
Authorities responded to the accident at approximately 2:56 a.m. Investigators determined that a 2019 Kenworth truck with a trailer was traveling westbound when it collided with an overturned 2019 International truck and its trailer, which had been blocking both westbound lanes. The undercarriage of the overturned trailer was exposed to oncoming traffic when the Kenworth truck struck it.
The driver of the International truck sustained minor injuries, while Nogivenname, who was operating the Kenworth truck, did not survive.
The Nevada Highway Patrol’s Northern Command Traffic Homicide Unit continues to investigate the incident.
