Fatal Brighton car crash death of Tiana Faniel – Obituary
Authorities in Brighton have identified the victim of a deadly two-car collision that occurred over the weekend on South Winton Road.
Tiana Faniel, 28, from Rochester, was a passenger in a northbound vehicle when it collided with another car near Meridian Center Boulevard shortly before 11:40 p.m. on Friday, according to Brighton Police Chief David Catholdi.
Investigators suspect that wintry conditions contributed to the crash. Four individuals, including Faniel, were trapped inside one of the vehicles. The three surviving passengers were rescued and are currently receiving medical treatment for their injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital before being released.
Authorities have not filed any charges at this time but continue to investigate the crash. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact 911.
