Authorities have identified the victim of a deadly collision that occurred early Sunday morning on Highway 29 near Stanley.
Treyton Tessmer, 19, from Withee, Wisconsin, was killed in the crash, which took place just after 4 a.m. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, Tessmer was driving a Jeep when it collided with the rear of a Chippewa County snow plow that was clearing the roadway near County H.
Emergency responders pronounced Tessmer dead at the scene. Investigators believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
The driver of the snow plow was uninjured.
The Wisconsin State Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
