Fatal Adelanto wrong-way crash death of Jaime Hernandez, Rogelio Hernandez, and Jose Silva – Obituary
Three individuals were killed and three others critically injured in a head-on collision that occurred early Friday morning in Adelanto. The crash took place just before 5:40 a.m. in the 9500 block of El Mirage Road, near Koala Road.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the incident involved a Honda sedan traveling eastbound, which veered into the opposite lane and struck a Chevrolet Tahoe heading west.
The collision resulted in the deaths of the Honda’s driver, Jaime Hernandez, 41, and the two passengers in the Tahoe, Rogelio Hernandez, 44, and 20-year-old Jose Silva. Three other passengers in the Tahoe were rushed to nearby hospitals with critical injuries.
The exact speeds of the vehicles at the time of the crash are still under investigation. The authorities continue to gather details on the incident.
