An 11-year-old boy, identified as Jaxsen Elkins, tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle in a driveway in Madison Township, Ohio. The incident occurred on Thursday evening, with emergency responders arriving at the scene on Cloister Cliffs Drive at approximately 7:12 PM.

 

Despite efforts to save him, Elkins succumbed to his injuries. He was a fifth-grade student at Madison Elementary School, where he was remembered as a bright and beloved member of the community.

 

His principal, Jason Jackson, shared a heartfelt tribute, highlighting Elkins’ love for playground football, little league baseball, collecting sports trading cards, riding his 4-wheeler, and working on projects with his father. A gathering was held at the school’s elementary gym to honor his memory, with a prayer led by a family friend. A memorial has also been set up near the school’s flagpole for those wishing to pay their respects.

 

In response to the tragedy, the Madison Local School District canceled classes on Friday, and grief counselors were made available for students and staff. Authorities have not yet determined the circumstances that led to the accident. Meanwhile, the school’s PTO is collecting donations to help fund a memorial in Elkins’ honor.
