Two people have tragically lost their lives in the devastating storms that battered Sonoma County this week. John Radecke, a 61-year-old man from Calistoga, was found late Wednesday afternoon on Franz Valley Road, while Frank Robinson, 81, from Sebastopol, was discovered in Santa Rosa on Sanford Road after being reported missing the previous night. The storms, which brought heavy rain and flooding, caused severe disruption in the region.
Flooded roads and creeks contributed to the fatalities, and Sonoma County fire officials conducted multiple water rescues during the storms. The cleanup continues as authorities work to manage the aftermath of the atmospheric river.
