A tragic crash in Louisville’s Portland neighborhood claimed the life of 38-year-old Anna Marie Gonzalez on Sunday, February 9.
According to police, the crash happened in the 3300 block of Northwestern Parkway when 38-year-old Scott Drollinger lost control of his pickup truck. His vehicle struck a utility pole before continuing onto the sidewalk and crashing into a fence. Gonzalez, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, was fatally impaled by the fence and pronounced dead at the scene.
Drollinger was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital with minor injuries. A toxicology report revealed his blood alcohol content was .156. He was arrested and charged with murder, driving under the influence, and criminal mischief. His court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, February 11.
