Asia Guercy, a 25-year-old mother of three, lost her life in a tragic crash on January 26 in San Bernardino, California. Authorities allege that her husband, Isaac Albert Perez, deliberately caused the collision due to suspicions of infidelity.
San Bernardino police responded to the crash around midnight, discovering Guercy and 31-year-old Charles Dark unresponsive inside a vehicle. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators determined that Perez had confronted them at a park before following their vehicle and forcefully rear-ending it, sending it off the road and into a flood control channel.
Perez was arrested shortly after the crash and has been charged with murder. He entered a not guilty plea and remains in custody without bail, with his next court hearing scheduled for March 3.
Guercy’s sister, Maliya, described her as a devoted mother and a woman of deep faith. She revealed that Asia had previously filed for a restraining order in 2021 due to domestic abuse, but the request was denied. At the time of the crash, she was in the process of leaving her husband.
The San Bernardino County Coroner determined that Guercy died from blunt force trauma to the head. Her family and community mourn her loss as they work to support the three young children she leaves behind.
