Fatal Stateline fall death of Daniel Tovar – Obituary
Daniel Tovar, a 31-year-old from Pomona, California, tragically died Saturday afternoon after falling from the 20th floor of Harvey’s Casino in Stateline.
Sheriff Dan Coverley confirmed the fatal incident occurred at 2:45 p.m. on February 8. Tovar, who had arrived earlier that day on an Amtrak bus from Pomona, reportedly fell from a high point at the casino. Authorities initially reported the fall as being from the third floor, but it was later clarified that it took place from the 20th floor.
The Sheriff’s Office has concluded that Tovar’s death was a suicide, and the investigation is now closed.
