A tragic accident claimed the life of 50-year-old Darrel Thompson from Lincoln last week, according to the Seward County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported that the crash occurred Thursday around 9:15 p.m. on a rural road near 154th and Pioneers roads, just south of Pleasant Dale. Thompson was walking along the roadway when a vehicle struck him.
Emergency responders arrived quickly, and Thompson was airlifted to a hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
