The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office has identified 75-year-old Edgar Lonon from Savannah, Georgia, as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash. The accident occurred on Monday at the intersection of Trask Parkway and Pap Key Lane when Lonon lost control of his motorcycle and struck a tree.
Lonon was transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, and an autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday to determine further details.
