Fatal Ada County highway crash death of Samson Edwards – Obituary
Authorities have identified 23-year-old Samson Edwards of Meridian as the victim of a fatal accident on Interstate 84 in Ada County early Monday morning.
According to Idaho State Police, Edwards was driving westbound on I-84 when he rear-ended a Subaru Impreza, causing it to veer off the roadway. He then stopped his vehicle in the roadway and exited. At approximately 2:30 a.m., while standing near mile marker 42, Edwards was struck by a westbound Mitsubishi.
The Ada County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Edwards was pronounced dead at 3:37 a.m. due to traumatic blunt force injuries. His death was ruled accidental.
No other individuals were hospitalized as a result of the crash. Authorities closed three lanes of I-84 for about three hours while investigating the scene.
