Fatal Philadelphia shooting death of Wesley Toribio-Diaz and Rudy Reyes – Obituary
Authorities have identified the two victims of a deadly double shooting in Philadelphia’s Crescentville neighborhood. Wesley Toribio-Diaz, 32, and Rudy Reyes, 30, lost their lives when more than 40 gunshots were fired early Monday morning.
The shooting occurred at approximately 3:50 a.m. on the 5300 block of Claridge Street, near Adams Avenue. Police arrived at the scene to find one victim fatally shot inside a vehicle, while the second was discovered lying on the ground near the passenger side. Both men suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the face and torso and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Surveillance footage captured two suspects fleeing in a white four-door sedan. Investigators reported that the victims’ vehicle was struck by more than 20 bullets amid the hail of gunfire.
While no arrests have been made, police did recover a weapon from the scene. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward by contacting law enforcement.
