Fatal Horry County tractor-trailer collision death of Larry Dean Capps, Crystal Ward, and Bobby Gathings – Obituary
Three individuals were killed in a tragic accident on February 10, 2025, when their pickup truck collided with a tractor-trailer on Highway 701, south of Pee Dee Highway in Horry County, South Carolina. The victims have been identified as 56-year-old Larry Dean Capps, 47-year-old Crystal Ward, and 38-year-old Bobby Gathings.
According to the Horry County Coroner’s Office, Capps was driving the truck when the crash occurred, resulting in all three victims succumbing to traumatic injuries at the scene. Ward and Gathings were seated in the front of the truck, alongside Capps.
Capps was a resident of Myrtle Beach, while Gathings hailed from Conway and Ward was from Loris. South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the collision.
