Two people were killed in a tragic crash on February 12, 2025, in Peoria, Arizona. The incident occurred near 87th Avenue and Cactus Road, where a silver 2013 Ford Focus collided with a white 2013 GMC Sierra.
Peoria police and fire-medical crews responded to the scene around 9:36 a.m. Preliminary investigations suggest the driver of the Ford Focus, identified as 86-year-old Marjorie Kussrow, was attempting to turn left onto 87th Avenue when the crash happened in the intersection. Her passenger, 90-year-old Dale Kussrow, was pronounced dead at the scene, while Marjorie later succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital.
The driver of the GMC Sierra sustained minor injuries. Authorities are investigating the role of speed and impairment as possible contributing factors to the crash, although the exact cause remains undetermined. The area around the crash remains closed for further investigation.
