Authorities in Canton, Ohio, have confirmed that 30-year-old Shawn Hawkins was shot and killed late Wednesday morning.
The incident took place just before 11:30 a.m. at a residence on 2nd Street Southwest. When officers arrived, they found Hawkins suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Aultman Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators identified the suspect as 18-year-old Money L. Baccus, who reportedly lived at the same location where the shooting occurred. She was taken into custody Wednesday evening in Akron and has been charged with murder.
