Fatal Gardnerville, Nevada shooting death of Charles Edward Wilkinson – Obituary

A Carson City man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 27-year-old Charles Edward Wilkinson in Gardnerville, Nevada.

 

Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire around 10:40 p.m. on Thursday in the 1200 block of Kingslane Court. Upon arrival, they found Wilkinson deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.

 

Following an investigation, authorities identified 25-year-old Gary Allen Dillishaw as the suspect. He was believed to have fled the scene and was considered armed and dangerous.

 

Early Friday morning, around 6:15 a.m., deputies from the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office located and apprehended Dillishaw after a brief vehicle pursuit. He was taken into custody and booked into the Mineral County Jail on a murder charge.
