Fatal Corpus Christi, Texas car crash death of Javier Mireles – Obituary

A tragic accident at the intersection of Everhart Road and Cedar Pass Drive on Wednesday afternoon resulted in the death of 40-year-old Javier Mireles, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 3:31 p.m. when the driver of a green SUV, for reasons yet to be determined, was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Everhart Road. The SUV collided with a black pickup that was heading south in the right lane before striking a blue SUV. The impact sent both the green SUV and the blue SUV into a maroon SUV also traveling southbound.

Emergency responders transported three children from the green SUV and four children from the blue SUV to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Additionally, the female driver of the maroon SUV was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The drivers of the blue SUV and black pickup were unharmed.

The Corpus Christi Police Department closed the intersection for several hours to conduct a thorough investigation into the fatal crash.
