Fatal Arcadia Lake car crash death of Katherine Nix – Obituary
Katherine Nix, 89, who had been the subject of a Silver Alert over the weekend, was found dead following a crash at Arcadia Lake in Edmond, Oklahoma.
According to Edmond police, a passerby walking their dog called 911 around 10 a.m. on Wednesday after discovering a crashed vehicle in a tree line north of the swim beach. Officers arrived at the scene and located Nix’s body just outside the wrecked car.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol had issued a Silver Alert for Nix on Sunday on behalf of the Moore Police Department.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
