Fatal La Mesa, California multi-vehicle crash death of Rosalyn Gay Allina and James Josef Allina – Obituary
Rosalyn Gay Allina, 77, and James Josef Allina, 79, tragically lost their lives following a collision on Interstate 8 in La Mesa earlier this week. The incident took place around 7:19 p.m. on Monday, just east of 70th Street, when their vehicle was found stationary in the number three lane, its lights off for reasons still unknown. A Dodge SUV then collided with the back of the sedan, which caused the vehicle to be pushed into the number one lane. Moments later, a Kia sedan crashed into the Dodge.
When emergency responders arrived, they declared James deceased at the scene. Rosalyn was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later passed away from her injuries. The driver and young passenger of the Dodge were hospitalized but were not seriously injured. The driver of the Kia sustained minor injuries, and the Mercedes driver involved was unharmed.
