Gail Babcock, 80, tragically lost her life in an apartment fire that broke out Friday night on the 1100 block of West Arch Street in Pottsville.
The fire was reported to authorities around 9:00 p.m., and emergency crews quickly responded to the scene.
It remains unclear whether any other apartments were damaged or if there were additional injuries. A State Police fire marshal is leading the investigation into the cause of the blaze.
