Authorities have identified 45-year-old Michael Kirtley of Black River Falls as the victim of a deadly single-vehicle crash in Trempealeau County on February 25, 2025.
The incident occurred around 7:39 a.m. when a vehicle crashed and overturned in a ditch on Highway 53, just south of Richter Road in the Town of Lincoln. Upon arrival, officials found Kirtley, who had been ejected from the vehicle and was declared dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations indicate that speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
