Authorities have identified 34-year-old Antoine Mourning as the pedestrian who lost his life in a crash Friday evening in Kansas City, Kansas. The accident occurred around 6:45 p.m. in the 5700 block of Georgia Avenue.
According to an investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department, Mourning was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Georgia Avenue. The driver remained at the scene, and emergency responders pronounced Mourning dead upon arrival.
The incident is still under investigation by local authorities.
