Keith Kuffler, 48, from Iota, Louisiana, lost his life following a tractor-trailer crash in Bridge City on March 4, 2025.
The collision occurred around 5:15 a.m. in the 500 block of Texas Avenue. Authorities discovered two tractor-trailers facing north in the middle lane when they arrived, according to the Bridge City Police Department.
Kuffler, who was driving a 2016 Freightliner, was transported to St. Elizabeth emergency room, where he succumbed to his injuries. The other driver, a 30-year-old operating a 2013 Peterbilt, was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators determined that Kuffler did not slow down before colliding with the trailer of the other truck. The investigation remains ongoing.
