Fatal Pontiac truck accident death of Charles Arnold O’Connor – Obituary
Charles Arnold O’Connor, 37, lost his life Friday night after being struck by a truck while crossing a road in Pontiac, Michigan.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, O’Connor was crossing Baldwin Road near Virginia Avenue at approximately 8:38 p.m. when he was hit by a Ford F-150 driven by a 16-year-old girl.
Deputies arrived to find bystanders attempting CPR on O’Connor. He was transported to a hospital, where he later passed away.
Authorities reported that the teenage driver was not injured. Investigators noted that she was not speeding and was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.
An autopsy has been scheduled for O’Connor as the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the incident.
