Fatal Rockingham crash deaths of Taylor Binnington and 4-month-old son – Obituary
Taylor Binnington, 39, of North Haven, Connecticut, and his 4-month-old son lost their lives in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday morning on I-91 in Rockingham, Vermont, according to state police.
Authorities reported that snowy conditions and poor visibility led to multiple vehicles sliding off the road and colliding in the northbound lanes. A fuel tanker had come to a stop due to the crashes ahead when an SUV, unable to slow down in time, crashed into the back of the tanker.
Binnington, who was driving the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife and their 3-year-old child were transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Their infant son was airlifted to the same hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
