A tragic incident occurred Saturday evening when 25-year-old Elizabeth Crane, a resident of West Lafayette, Indiana, was killed in a vehicle collision in Truckee. The Nevada County Coroner’s Office has confirmed her identity following the crash, which took place around 6 p.m. on Donner Pass Road near the Tahoe Donner boat launch. The accident involved a vehicle that struck two pedestrians. Crane died at the scene, while another individual was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.
The 22-year-old driver of the vehicle, employed as a ski lift operator, was arrested and charged with vehicle manslaughter.
