Fatal Santa Rosa County car crash death of Luca Kukuk – Obituary

Luca Kukuk, a 22-year-old resident of Pace, lost his life in a tragic head-on collision last Thursday night on Woodbine Road. Authorities have charged 33-year-old Leslie Highstreet, also of Pace, with DUI manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal crash after he allegedly struck Kukuk’s Nissan Versa with his pickup truck.

 

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the impact was severe, and Kukuk was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Woodbine Church in Pace shared a tribute, remembering Kukuk as a kind and selfless individual who devoted his time to others and led with integrity. He had worked at the Chick-fil-A on Bayou Boulevard in Pensacola for six years, most recently serving as a store supervisor. His colleagues described him as a beloved team member who deeply valued his faith and community.

 

A celebration of Kukuk’s life will be held at Woodbine Church on Saturday. Family visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by a service.

 

Chick-fil-A Bayou Boulevard has also paid tribute to Kukuk, releasing a memorial video and sharing a MealTrain link to support his family. The community continues to mourn the loss of a young man who touched so many lives.
