Fatal Fort Worth shooting death of Ariel Levy – Obituary

Ariel Levy, 28, tragically lost her life in a shooting incident that occurred Monday evening in her shared Fort Worth apartment. Family members are devastated by the news of her death, remembering her as a positive, caring individual who deeply impacted those around her. Authorities found her lifeless, with a gunshot wound, at the apartment she shared with her boyfriend, Dylan Jones.

According to the police, Jones initially confessed to a friend that he thought he had blacked out and unintentionally harmed his roommate. He claimed to have killed Ariel before leaving the scene. Later, Jones led police on a high-speed chase that lasted nearly 40 minutes across Fort Worth into Hurst, during which he drove erratically and ignored traffic signals. The chase ended after officers used road spikes, causing Jones to crash. He was apprehended after a brief altercation with police and found to be carrying a .380 pistol.

When police arrived at the apartment, they discovered Ariel’s body in a bedroom with an apparent gunshot wound. Investigators later linked Jones to the crime, as blood was reportedly seen under his fingernails, and a matching bullet casing was found near Levy’s body. Jones, 30, was charged with murder following his arrest and remains in custody.

Levy’s family has expressed their heartbreak over the loss, describing her as a cherished friend and family member. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has yet to finalize the cause of death. The investigation into her homicide is ongoing.
