Authorities have identified 20-year-old Emily Pulsifer of Santa Ana as the victim of a single-car accident on the 15 Freeway in Oak Hills over the weekend.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Saturday along the northbound freeway, just south of Oak Hill Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, Pulsifer was driving a 2008 Mazda 3 when the vehicle veered off the right shoulder, became airborne, and crashed into the lot of Desert Valley Towing.
Officials reported that Pulsifer was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and was ejected from the vehicle upon impact. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, though there is currently no evidence suggesting that alcohol or drugs played a role.
In response to the tragedy, a GoFundMe fundraiser was launched on Monday to assist Pulsifer’s family with funeral costs. As of Tuesday afternoon, the community had contributed over $11,000.
