Fatal Bakersfield pedestrian crash death of Lister Mora Prudencio – Obituary
Lister Mora Prudencio, a 47-year-old Bakersfield resident, was fatally struck by a vehicle on Edison Highway late Sunday night.
According to the Kern County Coroner’s Office, the accident occurred around 10:41 p.m. near the Mount Vernon Avenue overpass. Prudencio was pronounced dead at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol reported that a 46-year-old man driving a 2004 Toyota Scion was traveling westbound on Edison Highway when Prudencio crossed the roadway outside of a designated crosswalk. The pedestrian entered the westbound lanes directly in the vehicle’s path, making it impossible for the driver to avoid the collision.
Authorities confirmed that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
