On Saturday, March 8, a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 claimed the lives of Taylor Binnington, 39, and his 4-month-old son, Parry Lake. Binnington, from North Haven, Connecticut, was driving a Hyundai passenger vehicle when he rear-ended a fuel tanker truck after multiple vehicles were involved in minor crashes due to a snow squall.
Binnington was pronounced dead at the scene, while his son was life-flighted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Binnington’s wife, Evelyn Lake, and their 3-year-old son sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities reported that the crash, which closed the northbound lane of the highway, involved multiple vehicles but only the Binnington family was directly affected. The incident remains under investigation.
