Authorities in Dinuba, California, have identified the two parents who died in an apparent murder-suicide early Tuesday morning. The Dinuba Police Department confirmed that 33-year-old Jordan Porras and 33-year-old Amie Porras were found with fatal gunshot wounds at their home.
Police received a call around 3:25 a.m. requesting a welfare check at a residence in the 300 block of Hollow Way. Shortly after, another call reported a possible assault occurring at the same location.
When officers arrived, a child at the home informed them that both parents were deceased. Upon entering the residence, police found Jordan and Amie Porras with gunshot wounds. Amie Porras was pronounced dead at the scene, while Jordan Porras was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators believe the incident was a murder-suicide, with one of the gunshot wounds appearing to be self-inflicted. Firearms were recovered from the home as part of the ongoing investigation.
The couple’s two children were unharmed and have been placed in protective custody.
