Fatal Nueces County motorcycle crash death of Johnny Bryant – Obituary
Johnny Bryant, a 64-year-old motorcyclist, tragically lost his life in a collision early Saturday morning near the intersection of Airline and Holly roads. According to the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office, Bryant was involved in a crash around 7:30 a.m. that left him critically injured. Corpus Christi police responded to the scene of the accident, which involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck.
Medics rushed Bryant to a nearby hospital, but despite their efforts, he passed away from his injuries. The pickup truck driver, who was not harmed, was traveling west on Holly Road and attempted a southbound turn onto Airline Road when the crash occurred. Bryant was riding east on Holly Road and was struck by the truck.
It remains unclear whether Bryant was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The pickup driver, who was found not to be intoxicated, received a citation for failing to yield the right of way during a left turn.
