The family of Andrew Herrera, a 33-year-old resident of Apple Valley, is seeking community support following his tragic death in a motorcycle accident on March 15.
His wife, Jeraldin, and their three young children are the beneficiaries of a GoFundMe campaign launched to help with funeral expenses and the financial challenges they now face.
Herrera, a Victor Valley High School alumnus, had worked for Cemex for a decade. He was involved in the crash on Otoe Road near Dale Evans Parkway, where emergency responders arrived just after 7:30 p.m. to find him severely injured. Despite being transported to St. Mary Medical Center, Herrera succumbed to his injuries.
In an emotional GoFundMe post, his family shared their sorrow, describing him as a free spirit with an infectious laugh, known for his kindness and dedication to his loved ones. His family spoke of the profound emptiness his loss has created. Herrera was also remembered for his adventurous nature, often riding motorcycles with friends and family.
The GoFundMe campaign, organized by Robert Herrera Jr., seeks to alleviate the financial burden left in the wake of his death. Donations will aid the family in covering funeral expenses and other costs associated with this unexpected tragedy.
