Fatal Humboldt Park triple shooting death of Erik Colon – Obituary
An 18-year-old man who was among three people shot in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood has been identified by county officials as Erik Colon.
The shooting took place early Sunday morning at approximately 3:26 a.m. in the 4200 block of West Crystal Street, according to Chicago police.
Authorities reported that all three victims transported themselves to local hospitals before being transferred to Stroger Hospital.
Colon suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and right arm. He succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.
A 23-year-old man sustained gunshot wounds to his neck and groin, while a 16-year-old boy was struck in the right armpit. Both remained in critical condition at last check.
No arrests have been made as police continue to investigate the incident.
