Fatal Vermilion County car crash death of Isaiah Edmond – Obituary
Isaiah Edmond, a 35-year-old man from Indiana, was killed in a crash on Interstate 74 in Vermilion County early Tuesday morning. Authorities identified him following the two-vehicle collision.
Illinois State Police responded to the scene just before 4 a.m. at milepost 201 near Fithian. The crash involved a passenger car and a tractor-trailer. Edmond was transported to the Carle Foundation Hospital Emergency Department, where he was pronounced dead at 5:27 a.m.
An autopsy has been scheduled for later in the week. The Illinois State Police and the Champaign County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident. The interstate has since reopened.
