Fatal Mount Prospect crash death of Victor Lebron – Obituary
An evening collision in Mount Prospect resulted in the death of 83-year-old Victor Lebron, authorities confirmed on Tuesday.
Mount Prospect police were called to the crash site at Wolf Road and Thayer Street at approximately 6:30 p.m. Monday.
According to investigators, Lebron was attempting a left turn from Thayer Street onto Wolf Road in his Chrysler SUV when a Mercedes-Benz sedan, driven by a 21-year-old man from Des Plaines, collided with his vehicle.
Emergency responders found Lebron unresponsive inside his SUV. He was transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz was unharmed.
Authorities temporarily closed all lanes of Wolf Road between Feehanville Drive and Central Road while they conducted their investigation.
The Mount Prospect Police Department, along with the Major Crash Investigation Team and the Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team, continues to look into the circumstances of the crash.
