Fatal Cherokee County I-85 crash death of Jeffrey Ray Mullinax – Obituary
A man has died following a fatal crash early Sunday morning on I-85 North in Gaffney, South Carolina. The victim, identified as 42-year-old Jeffrey Ray Mullinax from Blacksburg, was driving a 2020 Kia SUV when the vehicle veered off the right side of the road near mile marker 92 around 4:40 a.m.
According to the Cherokee County Coroner’s Office, the SUV flipped several times before landing on its roof on Windslow Avenue. Mullinax, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
