Fatal Lexington County crash death of Leah Charlotte Flores Izaguirre – Obituary
On March 22, 2025, 5-year-old Leah Charlotte Flores Izaguirre tragically lost her life in a rear-end collision in West Columbia, South Carolina. The incident occurred while she was traveling south on Charleston Highway as a passenger when her vehicle was struck from behind. Despite being properly secured in a seatbelt, she was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Two other individuals in the vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were also taken to the hospital. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was arrested for felony DUI, as well as driving with a suspended license due to a previous DUI. The South Carolina Highway Patrol, along with the Lexington County Coroner’s Office, is investigating the fatal crash.
