Fatal Pecos County hit-and-run death of Manuel Garcia – Obituary
Manuel Garcia, a 35-year-old resident of Stockton, tragically lost his life early Friday, March 21, 2025, in a hit-and-run accident on North Stone Road in Pecos County. The accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. when a 2023 Toyota Tacoma crashed and overturned. Garcia, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was ejected and declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle fled but was later located and arrested. Authorities identified the suspect as a 32-year-old man from New Mexico, who now faces charges of failing to stop and render aid resulting in death, as well as unlawful carrying of a weapon.
The incident remains under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
