Tyler Curtis dies in Grundy County search and recovery operation
Fatal Grundy County death of Tyler Curtis – Obituary
The body of Tyler Curtis, a Tracy City resident who had been missing since late February, was found Sunday morning in the Fiery Gizzard Recreation Area within the South Cumberland State Park. The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the discovery of his remains in a wooded area. While foul play is not currently suspected, it has not been completely ruled out.
The investigation into Curtis’ death remains ongoing. Authorities expressed deep appreciation for the collaborative efforts of local fire and rescue teams, the Grundy County Medical Examiner’s Office, Sewanee Fire and Rescue, and the many volunteers who assisted in the search and recovery efforts. Special thanks were also extended to the State Park Rangers at Fiery Gizzard for their continued support.
