A tragic three-vehicle collision on Troy Highway has claimed the life of 44-year-old Derrel Brooks, a resident of Pike Road. The incident took place around 6:23 p.m. in the 4200 block of Troy Highway, near Green Thumb Nursery, on March 23, 2025. Authorities confirmed that Brooks, driving a pickup truck, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other vehicles were involved, with their drivers and passengers suffering minor injuries and transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
