Ian Harvey, 25, of East Peoria, has been identified as the victim in a tragic motorcycle crash that occurred on Saturday night in Central Peoria.
The collision took place when a juvenile driver, who was allegedly running a stop sign, struck Harvey’s motorcycle at 9:35 p.m. After being hit, Harvey fell off the bike and was subsequently struck by another car.
The Peoria County Coroner confirmed that Harvey, who was wearing full protective gear, including a helmet, died instantly from blunt-force trauma injuries. The incident is still under investigation, and the identity of the juvenile driver has not been released.
