Jared Aukerman, 27, tragically lost his life early Saturday morning in a high-speed crash on the Watterson Expressway in Louisville. According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Aukerman died from blunt force trauma after he attempted to take a ramp onto I-64.
Police reported that he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a barrier wall, flipping several times. Firefighters freed him from the wreckage, but he succumbed to his injuries about an hour later at the hospital. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
