Fatal Pueblo murder-suicide death of Sherri and Gerald Holmes – Obituary
The tragic deaths of Sherri and Gerald Holmes in Pueblo on March 16 have been confirmed as a murder-suicide. According to the Pueblo County Coroner’s Office, Sherri Holmes died from gunshot wounds, while Gerald Holmes succumbed to a single gunshot wound.
Pueblo Police responded to a call about shots fired at 2200 Inspiration Lane at around 8:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers set up a perimeter, and the SWAT team entered the home, where they discovered the bodies of the couple.
Investigations by Pueblo Police indicated that Gerald Holmes fatally shot his wife before turning the gun on himself. Sherri Holmes’ death marks Pueblo’s first homicide of 2025. The Pueblo Police Department concluded its investigation after confirming the incident as a murder-suicide.
