On Monday morning, Jerry Cozart Jr., 47, tragically lost his life in a head-on collision on Alabama Highway 68, located between Collinsville and Sand Rock. According to authorities, Cozart’s truck crossed over the center line and struck a dump truck.
Cozart was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which took place near the old armory building in Collinsville. No other injuries were reported, and he was the only person involved in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
