Fatal Stockton homicide death of Rena Martinez – Obituary
Authorities have identified Rena Martinez, 36, as the woman found dead inside a Stockton home during a welfare check on Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to a residence on the 3800 block of Melody Court around 6:30 a.m., where they discovered Martinez with multiple cuts on her body. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 2-year-old boy, later confirmed to be Martinez’s son, was also found inside the home unharmed. It remains unclear how long he had been there before police arrived.
Homicide detectives are now leading the investigation. No suspect details have been released, and authorities are still working to determine a motive.
