Fatal Sacramento highway accident death of Shane Brent Waller – Obituary
34-year-old Shane Brent Waller tragically passed away after attempting to run across a highway and being struck by multiple vehicles in Sacramento.
The incident occurred around 10:50 p.m. on Business 80, just north of X Street. Waller, attempting to cross the southbound lanes, was initially hit by an unknown vehicle, which reportedly fled the scene. Officers believe that the fatal injuries were caused by the impact of the first vehicle.
Following the initial collision, four additional cars struck Waller. The drivers of these vehicles had no opportunity to avoid hitting him. Thankfully, all four drivers remained at the scene and cooperated fully with law enforcement.
An investigation is ongoing, and the California Highway Patrol is seeking any additional information that could aid in understanding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
