Fatal Lexington County car crash death of Margie Cook – Obituary
Margie Cook, a 70-year-old resident of Pelion, lost her life in a tragic accident Tuesday morning on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington County.
The crash occurred outside the Lexington Pavilion shopping center in the 5000 block of Sunset Boulevard. According to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher, Cook was attempting to exit a parking lot when her vehicle was struck by a car traveling westbound.
Despite wearing a seatbelt, Cook was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The Lexington Police Department and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
